Introduction
This Volunteer Policy outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and rights of volunteers at Manchester Select RL. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment that benefits both the club and its volunteers.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

  • Volunteers are expected to act in the best interests of the club at all times.
  • Responsibilities may include assisting with events, administrative tasks, and supporting fundraising activities.

Code of Conduct

  • Volunteers must adhere to professional standards of behaviour, treating all members and participants with respect and courtesy.
  • Confidentiality must be maintained regarding any sensitive information encountered during volunteer activities.

Recruitment and Training

  • Volunteers will be selected based on their suitability for the role and commitment to the club’s values.
  • Appropriate training and support will be provided to ensure volunteers can fulfil their roles effectively.

Health and Safety

  • Volunteers are expected to follow all health and safety guidelines while participating in club activities.
  • Manchester Select RL will ensure that a safe working environment is provided.

Grievance and Complaints

  • Volunteers should report any concerns or issues to the designated volunteer coordinator.
  • A clear process is in place to address and resolve any complaints in a fair and timely manner.

Review and Amendments

  • This policy is reviewed annually and may be amended to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
